PRINTS

What is the difference between Glossy Prints, Matte Prints, Canvas Giclees and Aluminum Prints?

Glossy Prints: Glossy prints are on coated photography paper with a very smooth, shiny reflective surface and have a high-contrast appearance.
Matte Prints: Matte prints have a slight gloss with a subtle, often pearl-like texture. Matte prints show less glare than glossy prints.
Canvas Giclees: Canvas giclees are printed on textured canvas similar to the surface of a painting giving it an "art" look. If the canvas is stretched and wrapped, it is ready to hang on the wall without additional framing. For customers looking to stretch and wrap the canvas on their side, an option to order and ship the canvas "rolled" is available.
Aluminum Prints:  Images are printed on aluminum and have a very reflective surface with vibrant colors.  Aluminum prints hold up well in various weather conditions and require minimal upkeep. All "flush mount" (with frame) and "float mount" (framless, but with mounted hanger on the back) aluminum prints are ready to hang on the wall without additional framing.

What sizes are prints available in?
All prints are available as 8x10,11x14 and 12x18 Glossy Prints. Most are also available in larger sizes and formats (Matte, Glossy, Canvas, Aluminum) but each image needs to be looked at individually for size and format availability. Below each image, there is a drop down menu which shows all available formats and sizes for that photograph.  If ordering an 8"x10" or 11"x14" print, please keep in mind that the image may be slightly cropped compared to what you see online.  If you have questions, please contact us and we'll be happy to assist.

View a list of the photographs available in the largest formats (40x60).

Do prints come signed?
ALL prints come unsigned unless they are Limited Edition in which these are signed and numbered.  If you would like your print signed or personalized, please contact us via email or phone and we'd be happy to arrange that for you.  Extra charges may apply.

I would like my print matted. Is this possible?
Glossy prints in select sizes can be double matted for additional fee. Matting is off-white and then shrink wrapped. Note: matting is not acid-free.
$10: Glossy 8x10 prints
$15: Glossy 11x14 prints
$20: Glossy 12x18 prints

I would like my Canvas Giclee Gallery Wrapped. Is this possible?
Yes. Canvas Giclees can be Gallery Wrapped for additional fee.
$100 for sizes up to 24"x36"
$200 for sizes 28"x40", 34"x50" & 40"x60"

How are prints shipped?
Depending on the size, prints are either sent flat in an envelope, bubble mailer, cardboard box or sent rolled in tubes.  Please contact us if you have questions about how a particular size will be shipped.

I would like to order a print on aluminum. Do you do this?
Aluminum prints are available for all images offered on our website, including sizes as small as 8x12 to 24x36 online.  Larger sizes are also available for most images. For questions about our aluminum prints, please contact us for pricing and availability. Please inquire through our Contact Form (subject: Print Orders)

Why are some images not available in larger sizes?
If an image is not available in our larger sizes, most likely that means the image will lose its clarity in those sizes. The printing options shown are the sizes which can hold the quality for that particular image. If you would like for us to double check an image's largest printable size, you can inquire through our Contact Form. Please include the image name, artwork media and the desired size.

Do you sell digital files?
Generally the answer is "no". But we do make occasional exceptions and license digital files to museums, advertising agencies, public installation projects and certain interior design projects with specific needs. We also consider editorial licenses to reputable media including television, magazines, publications and rights managed commercial projects. All commercial projects should have a healthy budget and/or large audience exposure to offset the risk of having digital files out in the public realm.

Please fill out our Contact Form (subject: Licensing) and let us know what the usage will be, the size, budget and other project details. Provide as much information as possible. Any project under consideration, must work with a reputable printer that will assure us in writing that the files will be destroyed after the project is completed.
I would like to order a very large print, possibly divided in sections, for a large installation. Is this possible?
We have completed multiple projects in which images were printed larger then 8' high and 10' wide. An example can be seen on our Bio > Installations page.

If you are interested in purchasing a large installation piece, fill out our Contact Form (subject: Licensing) and let us know the details of your project including image name, images size, location of installation and approximate project budget.

Do you sell screen savers?
At this point we do not sell screen savers of our images.
