Within the first 36 hours of launching the "The Art of Waves" in Japan, the book has sold out in Japan. From our understanding, all pre-orders were filled and shipped before the book sold out.
The publishers are working with Kinokuniya Bookstore Online to offer multiple options for customers in Japan to purchase the book online, with delivery in approximately two weeks from the date of purchase. Also, Books Kinokuniya Tokyo near Shinjuku Takashimaya (tel: 03-5361-3316) is scheduled to receive a shipment of books for in-store purchases at the beginning of May.
For Amazon Japan customers, the next shipment will arrive in May and go on sale soon after. Be aware, third party sellers on Amazon Japan have filled the void and are selling the book higher than the suggested retail price with up to a month wait for delivery.
We hope in the coming month to have ample stock in Japan to offer the book in multiple stores and websites for purchases this summer.

It appears Amazon Australia is taking orders again. Books are being moved around and coming in from UK. Might take some extra time to arrive, but sales have resumed. There are some delays in getting out the pre-orders due to shipping and logistical slowdowns. We have been informed this should be smoothed out this weekend or at the latest by early next week.

Australia and New Zealand have had to postpone their book launches originally scheduled for April 12. The date was moved forward ten days to April 22nd due to stock shortages. Pre-order sales in Australia and New Zealand were stronger than expected and depleted the available stock.
We are sorry to make this announcement, and any inconvenience it may cause, just a day before the launch.

During the second week of the book launch, most European Amazon sites have been experiencing brisk sales with low stock warnings, sometimes in the single digits due to "Best Seller" rankings in photography categories, great reviews and popularity.
As far as we know, the book has not sold out. If it has sold out, it's been only for brief moments, with the European Amazon warehouses restocked regularly. Third party sellers on Amazon stores in Europe have picked up any slack and provided alternative purchasing options at close to the retail price and with reasonable wait times for delivery. The stock levels in European Amazon sites should level off in the coming weeks.
Online retailers as well as brick and mortar stores in the UK and other European countries have not had low stock issues and have been selling smoothly.
