Flying Honu

  • A Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle, honu as they are known in Hawaii, passes behind a breaking wave. These endangered turtles are herbivores and only eat plants and come into the shallow reef areas at high tide to feed. They are very skilled at positioning themselves to avoid the crashing waves.
