July 8, 2024

Little Plumeria Farms named “Best Tour for Locals & Visitors” by Honolulu Magazine's 2024 Best of Honolulu

Haleiwa, HI – HONOLULU Magazine names Little Plumeria Farms as the “Best Tour for Locals and Visitors” on Oahu for the 2024 Best of Honolulu. Winners are selected by the magazine's editors and readers and announced each summer.

The Best of Honolulu Award is the second award this year for Little Plumeria Farms following their recent crowning "Best New Attraction in America for 2024" by USA TODAY.

Clark Little, co-manager of the farm, and known around the world for his shorebreak wave photography, is one of three generations running the family's plumeria farm. "Thank you to everyone at HONOLULU Magazine and their devoted reader's for selecting our plumeria tours as the best tour on Oahu for this year. We are beyond excited, and at the same time humbled, to know that so many locals as well as visitors loved visiting our farm. When we opened the farm last year to the public, we had no idea there would be this much interest, and that our plumeria tours, among hundreds of tours offered on Oahu, would be chosen and honored in this way. Mahalo and thank you from all of us at the farm."

ABOUT LITTLE PLUMERIA FARMS

Little Plumeria Farms, started in 1973, is located in Haleiwa on the island of Oahu, and is known for having the largest collection of rare hybrid plumerias in the world, many of which were created by Jim Little through 50 years of hybridizing plumeria flowers. The farm is run by three generations – Jim, his son Clark and grandson Dane.

In 2023, in celebration of Little Plumeria Farms’ 50th anniversary, multi-sensory plumeria tours exploring sight, smell and touch were offered to the public for the first time. Almost every tour sold out during the first 6-month season. This year the farm tours opened up on April 1st and will run through October 31st, when plumeria flowers are in bloom. Group Tours are offered 9:15am and 11:00am daily except Sunday and Wednesday. Private Tours, requiring a minimum of four people, are available by request.
